- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin (preferably grass-fed)
- 1 cup water, divided
- 1 cup no-sugar fruit juice or flavored electrolyte drink
- Optional: splash of lemon/lime juice or sugar-free vanilla syrup
- Optional: soft berries or plain Greek yogurt
- Optional: scoop of collagen or protein powder
Instructions
- Pour ½ cup of water into a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface. Let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Heat the remaining ½ cup water until hot (not boiling).
- Stir the hot water into the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Add the no-sugar juice or flavored drink and stir until smooth.
- Customize with fruit, yogurt, or other add-ins as desired.
- Pour into small cups or a glass dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Do not freeze.
Notes
Use grass-fed gelatin for best health benefits. Avoid raw pineapple, kiwi, mango, or papaya (unless cooked). This recipe is gentle, filling, and ideal for post-bariatric diets or weight loss routines.
